The Parishes of Bardsey with East Keswick and of Leeds: St Aidan

Invite you to join together to walk this year’s Lenten journey.

To walk together with our Lord Jesus Christ to Jerusalem.

To enter into his story with our very lives.

To be touched, to be changed from glory into glory.

We are basing our Lenten journey on #LiveLent - God’s Story – Our Story, which can be ordered from Church House Publishing, other online book sellers and Amazon, for £1.99 (ISBN 978-1-78140-232-0).

(If you are interested but unable to order a copy yourself, please be in touch with the Parish Office and we will try and help.)

We will use this book throughout our Lent sessions but each session will have a different focus. You can use the book on your own or in your household and, if you can, why not share in our weekly Lent groups on Zoom, which begin on Saturday 20 February. There are two sessions each week and you can choose which one you want to attend, or come along to both if you wish.

Saturdays 2.30 - 3.30 pm

Tuesdays 7.00 - 8.00 pm

If you would like to join us please contact the Parish Office and we will send you the Zoom link.

Our Archbishops write in the Foreword:

"Stories take us out of ourselves. … As Christians we have been given the most wonderful story of all. A story which on the one hand is like our own – it’s about people like us. But, on the other hand, it tells us about a God we can hardly grasp."

"The invitation of this year’s #LiveLent to all of us is to participate in God’s story. To make it so much part of our own stories that our own lives become impossible to understand without it. And then to be tellers of this story, and the change it has brought to us…"
