Vanuatu Women Dancing

World Day of Prayer Service

Friday 5 March, 2.00pm

Churches Together would like to invite you to a live Zoom service to celebrate World Day of Prayer 2021.

This year’s service has been produced by the Christian women of Vanuatu, 1,000 miles east of Australia, in the South Pacific Ocean. They have also provided an insight into their home life with a couple of recipes from their country.

They regard the coconut palm as the 'Tree of Life' because they are so reliant on every part of it.

You might like to try the coconut cake recipe and enjoy a slice with a cuppa at the end of the service, or if you prefer make your own banana cake, which relies on another of Vanuatu’s staple foods.

There are a small number of booklets giving more information about the Vanuatu islands and the Order of Service but you don't need one to attend. These and the Zoom link will be available nearer the date from the Parish Office.
